VAMK is a modern and international University of Applied Sciences based in Vaasa (Finland). As a partner of the MentoraSTEAM project, VAMK is in charge of the Employability Booster Training Programme.
It addresses the needs of highly skilled migrant women who face a double disadvantage by being migrants and working in a male dominated environment to help their career progression thus facing a double challenge.
The training encourages women to explore the steps needed for their success, whether through work related programmes, training, education, work shadowing or volunteering. It also helps them recognise the steps necessary for their aspirations and ambitions and value their life skills while adapting to a new host country.
